Jan Kiepura Club

JAN KIEPURA – a well-known tenor, the most popular celebrity of the opera and operetta houses of the interwar period, and an outstanding actor from the 30s of the twentieth century. He was a wonderful singer, who was very popular all over the world in the last century. The above is a brief profile of the patron of our club, which was established in 1983.

The main purpose of the institution is to promote music culture among children, teenagers and adults. This goal has been persistently pursued by organizing cyclical music concerts for children and open classical music concerts. Pursuit of this specific activity, rather untypical of a city club, has made the club famous not only within the city, but also in the whole Poland.

The club has succeeded in the implementation of a very ambitious plan to host worldwide renowned artists and music bands. The club has become famous on the Polish music life arena. The place is gladly visited by the most famous artists – musicians, vocalist and actors, such as V. Brodski, K. A. Kulka, P. Paleczny, B. Morka, A. Zdunikowski, W. Młynarski, G. Turnał as well as the following bands: "Pod Budą", "Myslovitz", "Łzy" or "Piwnica pod Baranami".
Since 1995 the club has been playing host to international sports ballroom dance championships.
The club also features:
– "Skandal" contemporary dance and cheerleaders group
– „Kiepura” sport ballroom dance studio
– „Kiepurki” - vocal and dance group
Anyone will find something interesting in the rich offer of the club, which includes aerobic classes, yoga classes, instrument playing classes, dance classes (ballroom and contemporary dance), as well as vocal, eurhythmics and art classes. The chess and charade sections are also very dynamic. The high level and affordable price of English classes also attract many people.
