The Former Commercial Bank
The building was constructed according to a design by the Warsaw architect Kugor in 1908. It functioned as a branch of the Warsaw Commercial Bank. In 1923 the Warsaw architect Bolesław Żurkowski was commissioned to prepare a design for the extension of the building by adding a customer service area, connected with the main building by a passage. The older part of the facility, with a small park layout located in its immediate proximity, is maintained in the Italian neo-renaissance style. The newly-designed neo-classicistic building was subordinated to the main building and now it is the seat of the City Hall.
