Dietel Family Mausoleum
The Dietel Family Mausoleum, nowadays a cemetery chapel, is part of a cemetery complex at Smutna Street and is situated in the Lutheran and Augsburg section of the cemetery.
The mausoleum was built in 1912 under the project of the architect Józef Pomian- Pomianowski. It displays distinguishing features of the Roman architecture typical of an ancient tomb. The mausoleum was built at the request of Henryk Dietel, a founder of the combed wool mill. The mausoleum was prepared for several burials, however it is only the grave of Henryk Dietel, his wife and one member of the family.
