The Augsburg Lutheran Church
The church, as part of a building complex founded by the manufacturer Henryk Dietel, was situated in the neighbourhood of a spinning mill owned by him. The church in its present form was built in the middle of the 90s of the 19th century (originally it was a makeshift small church which dated back to 1888). Its designer is unknown.
After all the reconstruction works the church displays features of eclectic architecture with predominance of neo-baroque forms. Since 1998 the City Hall in Sosnowiec has been participating in covering the expenses involved in the renovation of the church affected by mining damage.
